Scott Mermel of Omni Contracting was instrumental in remodeling our house exactly as we
wanted - with a bonus of some great ideas. He masterminded the entire project which included
•demotion of walls,
•creating a large new island in the kitchen,
•finding a way to hang our new large hanging lights,
•redoing an old bad drywall job on many walls,
• installing the electricity,
•overseeing the installation of the kitchen counter quartz and the backsplash,
•suggesting and installing the La Cantina window between kitchen and deck
•AND so much more.
What we appreciated about Scott is his patient personality and his drive to get things done. His
connections with the city planing department saved us hours of headaches as did his use of his
high quality skilled subcontractors. He handled our remodel efficiently, creatively, and most
important professionally. We highly recommend Scott and will use him when it’s time for our
bathrooms to have a major overhaul. He’s an outstanding contractor!

We selected Scott Mermel over two other contractors to build our bedroom/bathroom addition in January 2015. It was the best decision we could have made. He finished exactly when he said he would, was right on budget if not a little under and did quality work. He is fantastic to deal with – always looking for solutions, ways to save you money and to make us happy. His workers are personable, efficient and best of all very clean – the job site was left every night in order. He is always reachable and responds quickly to situations. His subcontractors are the same as he is – reliable, easy to work with and there when they said they would be. We had one sub with a bad attitude from the start and Scott replaced him immediately. Scott was on our side always. We enthusiastically recommend Scott and his company – they say building is stressful but we were sorry when it was done because then we wouldn’t see Scott every day. It was a wonderful experience.
